Design and style aren’t merely the things, the objects, the furnishings; but they are also the physical spaces that these inhabit. They are no longer simple volumes, but environments and surfaces that bestow and leave you visual/sensory thrills and sensations. I’ve always been naturally curious, and now to re-create a memory, a surface, a pleasant sensation by using colours and materials is the challenge I put myself to every day… To manage to re-create something that’s never been seen, touched, or admired before.

Perhaps I really have to dig deep in my childhood memories, when as a boy I had fun mixing, making a mess of, and working different materials to try to create something of my own, like a little alchemist. Through this tie to the past, today my work is like that of a great chef, who observes, tries and experiments, not trying to do his best to copy a recipe, but to create his own perfect recipe! You’re never done learning and finding things out, creating and experimenting new paths, new materials and new finishes. And that is what motivates me every day!
